Matthew Matt "Matt" Anthony Roberts

He was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles. Matt had a passion for his music, playing guitar, riding dirt bikes and going fast. He was a hardworking man. Matt was a loving husband and father. He lived life to the fullest.

Survivors include his wife, Sarah Avery Roberts of Westlake; his mother, Rebekah Johnson and husband, Anthony “Moose” of Moss Bluff; his father, Melvin Anthony Roberts of Huntsville, TX; grandfather, Charles Brackley Moss, Jr.; his son, Daniel Paul; daughters, Orena Bell and Zoey Jean; sisters, Jessica Nichols and husband, Warren, Amber Rougeau and husband, Mike and Leighann Materne all of Gillis, Jena Marie Campbell and husband, Josh and Kacy Roberts all of Baytown, TX; step brothers, Terry Reeves, Oliver Johnson, Anthony Johnson, Jr. and Walker Johnson. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Nelson and Ruby Thompson; and grandmother, Ruth Moss.

Visitation will be 10am until service time at 3pm on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Gillis. Brother Glenn George will officiate.
