She was a native of Lake Charles, LA and lived in Moss Bluff, LA. She was a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church and was a retired secretary for Gillis Elementary. She was an active supporter of her grandkids in sports. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who greatly enjoyed the times spent with her family.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years John Roofner of Moss Bluff, LA; Sons, Mark Roofner of Gillis, LA, and Chris Roofner and wife Trudie of Gillis, LA; Daughters, Kimberly Meche and husband Brityn of Moss Bluff, LA, and April Davenport and husband Doug of Moss Bluff, LA; four sisters, Mary Francis Breaux of Baton Rouge, LA, Sheila Natalie of Cedarhurst, NY, Tina Koble of Richardson, TX, and Karan Crader of Gulfport, MS; 10 grandchildren, Nikki, Breanna, Makenzie, Morghan, Douglas, Brayden, Wyatte, Braylie, Kaylie, and Mollie. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Voncile Crader; brothers, Roy Pitts, Ronald Crader, and Roland Crader.
Her funeral will be at 11am Tuesday, May 31, 2011 in St. Theodore Catholic Church. Msgr. Charles Dubois will officiate. Burial will be in New Ritchie Cemetery. Visitation is from 11am til 9pm Monday, May 30, with Rosary prayed at 6pm. Visitation will continue from 8am until 10am at the funeral home on Tuesday.
