Jo Ann, best mom ever, native of Elton, Louisiana came to make her home in Moss Bluff where she was a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church, a member of the Catholic Daughters, and was active at the Moss Bluff Senior Center where she enjoyed being with friends. Jo Ann a gifted artist was known for her ability in painting, drawing, sewing, crocheting, jewelry making, and embroidery. A star in her own right and also known as the comedian Momma Jeaux "The Hugging Lady" where she brought joy and laughter to many, and to others stretching across the pond. She co-owned Moss Bluff Printing along side her husband for 24 years.
She was preceded in death by parents, Joe and Alice Waggoner, sister, Shirley Bellon, and brothers, George and Robert Waggoner.
Jo Ann Kaufman leaves behind her Loving husband, Ross Kaufman of over 52 years and their three girls and 3 special son-in-laws, Angela Guillory and husband, Kirk, Beth Jacobsen and husband, Dan, and Vanessa Doucet and husband, Leroy III "PeeWee"; 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and two on the way.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at St. Theodore Catholic Church in Moss Bluff. Rev. Father Aubrey Guilbeau will officiate. Burial will follow in New Ritchie Cemetery in Moss Bluff. Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Monday, October 15, 2018 with a Rosary held at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
