I initially met Jack through work. It didn’t take long before I considered him a friend…..a good, kind and caring friend! He always had jokes and laughter to share. 
My condolences to the family. Know his loss will be felt far beyond family. 

Jack was a great friend who was a fine, generous and kind person, He always had a way to make you laugh.  He lived life to the fullest and we shared many good times together. I’m my 40 years in sales, I never met a better salesman than Jack. He will be greatly missed. My sincere condolences to his family.

Jack was a good man and a good friend. I learned of his passing this morning. After his retirement and move to Oklahoma we lost touch. Then one day in HEB I see a gentleman on a motorized scooter reaching for something , when I went to assist it was Jack ! He told me he had moved back and we planned to meet , but COVID also introduced itself right after and I didn't visit him because I didn't want to expose him to anything...then time passed like it does.  I told my son about Jack passing this morning and he remembered when he was 10 , he and Jack racing for cookies at a Texans game, Jack always had the best seats and when he and his brother went and had 1 or 2 extra tickets I always got a call. He is 23 now and the memory still made him smile. I have lots of good memories of Texans games , times he visited me at my office and times we went to lunch together. My deepest condolences to Jackie and all of his family and friends. 

Jack was the best brother anyone could ask for. All 5 brothers and sisters took a lot of trips together. Jack was always so generous. On these trips he would pay more than his share if we didn’t keep an eye on him. He was a great driver and almost never let anyone else drive. He had a great sense of direction and never got lost. He had a knack for finding attractions that we all enjoyed. Sometimes I suspect he was not always into some of the things we did but he didn’t let on. Jack was always laughing and enjoying our time together. We all did but he would always do something to make it better. I’ll  miss him forever. I love you little brother.

What a guy!  Jack shared his wit and knowledge with many of us at Esch, and then Eads, and his steady smile made all of us feel welcome.I know as a young salesman his acceptance and attitude made our meetings as much of a joy as could be had at a work event.

Really loved the man and am sure he is leading the charge to the 19th hole with frivolity and magnetic personality.

Heaven has gained one of the funniest angels, and I'm sure he was met with a big smile from his parents, Maw Maw Lofton, Greg Cox, and his sisters-in law; Mae Cox and Linda Cox. We Love you and will miss you....till we meet again.


Those left to cherish his memories include his beloved wife of 47 years, Jackie Cox, his three sons; Shannon Cox, Jack Cox Jr. and fiance Brandi Fontenot, and Jason Cox, one daughter; Thonetta Cox Miller and husband Dan, his brothers; Billy Cox and Bobby Cox, his two sisters; Peggy Parthum and husband Larry, Patsy Goff and husband Wayne, along with ten grandchildren, and twenty great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
