Mrs. Ella was known to everyone as a very strong and loving person who cherished her family. Her strong faith in God was where she gained her strength. She was the matriarch that held her family together and taught them the values of a true family unit. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.
Mrs. Ella leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter and caretaker, Betty Reeves and husband, Wayne; her son and her reason for living, Darrell Duplechin and Harriett; her grandchildren, Cathy Casey, Vicky Glorioso, Sandy Ardoin, Renee Darbonne, Larry "Bubba" Duplechin, Darrell "Toot" Reeves, Todd Runnels, Wendy Duplechin, and Shawn Duplechin; 17 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Delcoe Duplechin; daughter, Nora Broussard; son, Larry Duplechin; and grandson, Michael Broussard.
Pallbearers will be Denny Ardoin, Chad Hebert, Larry "Bubba" Duplechin, Jason Casey, Dale Casey, and Dennis Darbonne.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 1pm Monday, March 10, in St. Theodore Catholic Church of Moss Bluff. Msgr. Charles Dubois will officiate. Visitation is from 2-9pm Sunday, March 9, with a rosary at 7pm and will resume Monday 8am 'til service time at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff. Burial will be in Hebert Cemetery in Hecker.
