Eileen Kathleen Bruce

She was a wonderful, loving wife, mother and grandmother. She received her B.A. from McNeese State University in 1971, M.Ed. from McNeese State University in 1976, and a Master's degree plus 30 also from McNeese State University. She taught CCD at St. Hubert and St. Theodore Catholic Church, and was a member of the Lady's Altar Society, Catholic Daughters and the choir at St. Theodore.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Robert Bruce; son, Robert "Robby" Bruce Jr. and wife, Anita of Moss Bluff; daughter, Andrea Habetz and husband, David of Ragley; brother, Raymond Dombroski and wife, Hazel of New Hall, CA; sisters, Barbara Ontiveros and husband, Gill of Sierra Madre, CA and Dorothy Kelley and husband, Phillip of Menifee, CA; grandchildren, Adrienne Peresich and husband, Brandon, Alanna Fontenot and husband, Charles; Adam Habetz and wife, Angela, Alexis Habetz and Nicholas Bruce; step grandchildren, Casey Nelson and wife, Amy; great grandchildren, Andrew, Madison, and Ethan Fontenot, Zachary and Kaden Peresich, Allison Habetz and Brady Nelson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew Dombroski and Bernice Elizabeth Symbula Dombroski.

Her funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at St. Theodore Catholic Church. Msgr. Charles Dubois will officiate. Burial will be in Ritchie Cemetery. Visitation will be at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff from 4-9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday from 8 a.m. til time of service. Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Tuesday evening.
