She was born on March 31, 1931, in Birchtree, Mo., to Edgar and Mary Pierce.
She married Glen C. Pendergrass on April 2, 1948.
Lucille enjoyed making quilts for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, cooking and loving on her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed bowling and camping in her younger years.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Glen C. Pendergrass; her sister, Beatrice Walker; her parents Edgar and Mary Pierce; and her father and mother-in-law, John and Elizabeth Pendergrass.
Survivors include her children: Kay Osborne of Science Hill, Ky., Roger (Belva) Pendergrass of Morton, Sue Claycamp of Randle, Jerry Pendergrass (Tammy Armstrong) of Morton; grandchildren: Derek Eck, Roberta Eck, Sarah Moore, Tim Pendergrass, Ryan Pendergrass and Ashley Pendergrass; and 13 great-grandchildren
She is also survived by her sister, Vera Wilcox of Baton Rouge, La., and her brother, Duane Pierce of Centralia.
Lucille loved the five years she got to “mother” Bill and Beth Reynolds and their staff. Her family will be eternally grateful for the wonderful care she received at Heart of Gold.
Friends and family are invited to Celebration of Life service on Saturday (she and Glen’s 68th wedding anniversary) from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Morton Senior Center.
Memorials may be sent to Assured Hospice in Centralia.
Cremation arrangements were by Brown Mortuary in Morton.
