Ramona Ruth (Core) Fuentes went to be with her Lord Tuesday, September 29, 2017, at her home in Camarillo, Calif., after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born in Morton, Wash., June 22, 1939, to Frank and Effie Core.
She graduated from Mossyrock High School in 1957 and attended two years of college after. Ramona worked at National Silver Company in Los Angeles and as a school secretary at Santa Rosa Elementary School in Camarillo. Her main enjoyments were reading, both to herself and to her family, as well as scrapbooking, camping, hiking and traveling. She was a parishioner of St. Mary Magdalene Church for 47 years and a member of Mother Teresa’s Guild at St. Ives Catholic Church in the state of Washington.
She is survived by her husband, Tony Fuentes; sister, Linda (Core) McDonough; sons, Kevin, Antonio and Marco and Sasha; and grandchildren, Gabbi, Xavier, Morgan, Matthew and Raven. She brought love, laughter and light to all that came into her presence. She will be missed.
There will be a graveside service at 12 p.m., Friday, Sept. 15, 2017, at Dunn Cemetery, Mossyrock, with a lunch following the service at St. Ives Catholic Church.
