It was in Edmonds, that John was raised and lived most of his life, recently relocating to Mossyrock.
John was a World War II Veteran, serving in the U.S. Army for two and a half years. He earned four medals and the rank of Private First Class. John retired from Chevron Oil Corporation as lead Warehouseman after 42 years. He then, was a greenhouse grower for the following 25 years, finally retiring in 2010. John loved the outdoors, fishing,
hunting, camping and hiking. In 1955, John proudly killed the largest deer in Washington State and the fifth largest
deer in the world. John was so delighted of his accomplishment he carried a picture in his wallet of his prize deer
and was always willing to tell the story to anyone who would hear it. He lived a very busy and full life. May he rest in peace O’ Lord.
John leaves behind his loving wife of 68 years, Isabelle; sons, Gary (Marti), Larry (Debbie), Jerry (Carla); daughters, Beverly Boshart, Brendaly (Troy) Reitz; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015 at St. Yves Catholic Church, Mossyrock, followed by a graveside service at St. Yves Cemetery.
