Isabelle C. Edwards, age 93, of Morton, Wash., died Monday, April 23, 2018 In Morton. She was born August 20, 1924 to Charlie and Gladys (Billings) Lewis in Toledo, Ohio where she also attended school.
Isabelle was married to Marvin Edwards and together they moved to Mich. where they owned and operated a farm. They eventually moved to the Northwest and lived in several locations between Ore. and Wash. before settling in Lewis County in 1981.
Some of Isabelle's early employments in Lewis County included working at the cannery in Chehalis and Centralia Knitting Mills, a work to which she was well suited. She was always a very creative person, not only as a seamstress, but was also talented in oil painting, writing poetry, and playing the piano, often at church. She was a longtime member of the Assemblies of God Church and currently was an active member of the Morton Senior Center's Bible Fellowship. Above all, Isabelle will be remembered for her love for her family.
She is survived by her children Ronald, Nelson and Bonnie Edwards; one grandchild Richard Edwards; and sisters Edith Whaley and Beulah Hite.
She was preceded in death by her husband Marvin in 1992; a sister Delores Breuetter; and her brothers.
There will be no services per Isabelle's request and she will be laid to rest at Silver Creek Cemetery in Randle, Wash.
