Our beloved Beulah Mae Ledbetter, 97, of Morton, Washington went to heaven to be with her long-missed family Wednesday, July 13, 2022. She was born to Loie Guy Layman and Lettie Helen (Pierce) Layman February 10, 1925 in Birch Tree, Missouri.
On September 19, 1942, she married Ralph Ledbetter and they moved to Morton. Ralph and Beulah had three children, Dwight (SunCha), Delight (Codell) and Rita (Vern); grandchildren, Rhonda Boman, Ryan Wood, Renee Ripley, Tim Ledbetter, Karla Stinson and Richard Stinson; 17 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Beulah was the longest working CAN at the Morton Hospital and then worked to get the Heritage House in Morton and then worked for them as an Activity Director. She retired at age 83.
Surviving siblings include her brother, Donald Layman, Missouri; and sisters, Margie Huddleston, Oregon and Thresa Moore, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; son, Dwight; brothers, Norman, Coya, Herschel and Scottie; and sister, Katherin.
We want to thank her caregivers and Hospice, and many thanks to her lifelong friends, Jeannie, Furn Gordon and Linda Pendleton.
A a celebration of life will be held Friday, July 22, 2022 from 11:00 AM at Brown Mortuary Service, Morton, Washington. An interment will follow at Morton City Cemetery, along with a reception.
