Wilma Short

Wilma Short, age 90, passed away peacefully in her sleep Monday morning on her birthday, April 7, 2025. She moved to Morristown 23 years ago after her husband passed away, to be near her daughter. Wilma was a homemaker all her life. She did volunteer at the Food Bank in Morristown. Wilma was very active in her church. She was a member of Lakeshore Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memories is her daughter: Diana (Ken) Gibbons of Morristown. Grandchildren: Elizabeth Ann (Jeff) Shelton and William Patrick (Becky) Shepherd. Great grandchildren: Angie and Jason Turner all of Lugoof, South Carolina. Ronnie's son: Mitchell (Heather) Short, great grandson: Michael Blade Short of Evarts, KY. Wilma will be missed by many friends that have known her.

Wilma is preceded in death by her husband: Milford Short; son: Ronnie, daughter-in-law: Peggy Short; grandson: Michael Short; great granddaughter: Michaela Joann Short and son-in-law: William "Bill" Shepherd.

Visitation will be Friday, April 11, 2025 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Funeral services will follow after visitation at 7:00 pm with Marty Mills officiating the funeral at Stubblefield Funeral Home in Morristown.

Graveside services will occur on April 12, 2025 at 2:00 pm in Resthaven Cemetery in Loyall, KY. She will be laid to rest beside her husband.
