Timothy "Tim" Joel Greene

Tim was of the Baptist faith. He was a career firefighter, having served with the Morristown Fire Department for over 32 years. He was a loving father and an avid outdoorsman, as well as a lifelong student of history and a tenacious war gamer.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents, George Lester Greene and Ona Pearl Williams Greene; and baby sister, Michelle Leigh Greene.

He is survived by his son, Aaron Greene; sister, Cassandra (Bobby) Helbert; brother, Tony (Teresa) Greene; his girlfriend, Ravenia Moore and her son, Nathan Moore; several nieces; and special friends, Dave Smith and Robert Croxdale.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 24, 2022 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 5:00-7:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Morristown. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev Gene Nelson and Rev Don Lamb officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at First Presbyterian Church of Morristown on Friday, March 25, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. for the procession to Hamblen Memory Gardens for a graveside at 11:30 a.m.

Tim requested in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Institute for Cancer Research or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
