Thomas George Duvall

THOMAS GEORGE DUVALL, age 78 of Morristown, went to be with his heavenly Father on June 17, 2014 at UT Medical Center. He was of the Baptist faith. He was retired from the USAF. He was a Vietnam Veteran who served his county proudly for over 20 years. He was a member of the Master Blaster (EOD). He was also a member of the Vietnam Veterans Association, Newport Chamber of Commerce and sold insurance for 25 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus G. and Hazel Cleo Duvall; half- brother, Rodney Woodruff. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Helen Duvall; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas E. and Heather Duvall; daughter, Janine Duvall; 2 sisters, Susan Mackey of Gadsden, AL and Nancy Kelton of Phoenix, AZ, several nieces, nephews and countless friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 20, at 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home with the Rev. William Burton officiating. Family and friends will meet at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, June 21 in Hamblen Memory Gardens for a 10:00 a.m. Military graveside service with Honors provided by Shaw Air Force Base. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Arrangements by Stubblefield Funeral Home.
