She was a member of McBride Missionary Baptist Church and retired from Lear Seating after 20 plus years of service. She was a 1963 graduate of Whitesburg High School.
She is survived by her son and wife, Kelly and Jessie Bennett, grandson Spencer and wife, Amanda Bennett and granddaughter Kassiah; great granddaughter Bailee Bennett, who was her pride and joy. Sisters Marie Hill Moore of Whitesburg and JoAnn Hutchinson of Missouri. 2 nieces and 3 nephews.
She was preceded in death by her infant daughter Sandra Ann Bennett, brother Junior McPherson, parents Wilbur and Ressie Payne McPherson, grandparents Jessie and Vernle Winkler Payne and Taylor and Emma Wright McPherson.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 16, 2025 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Stubblefield Funeral Home, funeral services will follow at 4:00 pm with Rev. Allen Payne and Rev. Ralph Turner officiating.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at 10:00 am in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
