Phyllis Ann Rouse Brown, age 72, of Morristown, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at U T Medical Center. She was a graduate of Blountville High School and Graham Bible College, where she also taught. In 1972, she opened the Morristown Bible Book Store, from which she retired from in 2009. Phyllis was an avid follower of Jesus Christ and had a passion for people. She was preceded in death by her parents, Conrad and Virginia Rouse of Bristol, TN; and husbands, Virgil Ellison and Charles Asbury. She is survived by her husband, Jerry E. Brown; brother, Jerry (Betty) Rouse of Neptune Beach, FL; sister, Jane (Jim) Dishman of Hendersonville, TN; brother, Doug (Brenda) Rouse of Morristown; brother, Chuck (Lynette) Rouse of Katy, TX; step-children, Charlene Pettis of Canton, OH and Harold Asbury of Columbus, OH; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 from 5 – 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 7:30 p.m. with Reverends Tony Buchanan and Mark Abernathy officiating. Family and friends will meet in Hamblen Memory Gardens on Thursday morning at 10:45 a.m. for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service. “There is no gift more precious than being loved.
