Myrt was my friend since 1993 when we were neighbors in Clermont, Florida.  We have stayed in touch over the years, and I am blessed to have been able to see her in person, last year.  
Myrt was a wonderful soul.  I'll miss you, my friend.

I've known you all my life. You helped raise me. You made sure I ate my vegetables, ha ha! I hope you are surrounded by all the animals you loved and please give mine a good scratch and Lucky, Leo and Shad lots of carrots. I know you also missed my mom so much, just talking to her like y'all did every week, and you mentioned her every time we spoke. Now you guys can catch up. We had a lot of fun riding through orange groves and you taught me how good a Pepsi and chocolate ice cream float was. So many things. So many years. I'm so glad I got to talk to you on my birthday. Stay sweet, love ya.

My Aunt Myrt was a lovely penpal. She always raved about her family and friends in TN, her old horses and new animal friends. She often wished for white Christmases so she could make snow angels and snow cream! And she spoke beautifully about her faith too. Aunt Myrt you were so kind to me. Be sweet up there 💙

Myrtle and I were about the same age, but we didn't see each other very often. Last time I saw here, I think, was at her house that was between Winter Garden and Clermont. I did enjoy the times we talked on the phone either when I made my annual call to all my cousins and cousins in law around Christmas or when she called me. Cousins are becoming scarcer.  As far as I know....all of Aunt Jewels kids, both of Uncle Tells kids, and one from each of their siblings, Mother, Uncle Brent, and Uncle Sam are gone.
That's the way it is supposed to be I guess.

I have fond memories of Myrtle over the years. Sylvia, my wife and Myrtle were 1st cousins so we saw her and the family pretty frequently. She was very kind, caring and interesting to talk with. Of course we would talk about horses from time to time. My family and I are praying for all the family and friends. Now she and Sylvia can rejoice in heaven with no pain or tears.

Sharing a couple of pictures of visiting with you in Tennessee with "the kids". I know one of our greatest memories together was when I visited you in Florida. You had horses then and you took me riding. As we headed back to the barn, you slapped the horses fanny and he/she took of like a bat out of hell! I was scared to death and I almost got my head cut off as we entered the barn! But you got a pretty big kick out of it and we laughed about it from time to time! My other greatest memory of you was how helpful you were when Dad (your brother) was dying. Boy, you were such an Angel! I am glad to know that you are with the angels now. Say Hi to Dad, Grandma, Granddad and Granny for me!

I was sorry to hear of Myrtle's passing.
I delivered Meals on Wheels to her for a few years.
It was a pleasure to talk to her.
I will surly miss her.
