Mary S Moore

Mary Skelton Moore, age 79, of Whitesburg passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. She was a homemaker and was employed by Magnavox. Mrs. Moore was also active in the Hamblen County Farm Bureau Women and the Hamblen County 4-H Clubs. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Mary Skelton; sister, Kate Skelton; brothers, Doyle and Raymond Skelton; nephew, Jeffery Skelton, and a brother –in-law, Guy Moore. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Russell O. Moore; son, David (Nina) Moore; daughter, LeAnn (Shawn) Light; grandsons, Daniel, Joseph and James Moore; step-grandchildren, Ashlynn and Braxton Light; sister, Lorraine Rosenbalm; brother, H. B. (Ann) Skelton; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7:00 p.m. Saturday, December 7, 2013 with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home. Rev. Larry Brooks will officiate. Family and friends are asked to meet at 1:50 p.m. Sunday, December 8, 2013 in the Veterans Field of Honor of the Hamblen Memory Gardens for a 2:00 p.m. committal service. Stubblefield Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
