Lorenz Hermann was born August 9, 1932 in Vukovar, Yugoslavia. He and his family fled Yugoslavia during WWII, to Austria. In 1950 when the United States opened it borders, they left through Bremerhaven, Germany on the General McRae transport ship for America, where he became an American Citizen and lived the American dream.
He was preceded in death by his father, Franz Hermann, mother Apolonia Hermann, brother-in-law Edgars Kuncitis and niece Elizabeth Kuncitis.
He is survived by his brother: Stephen Hermann and wife Margaret, sister: Anna Kuncitis, niece: Michele Kurys and husband Douglas, nephew Edgar Kuncitis and grand nieces Kaitlyn and Jaclyn Kurys.
Private services will be held in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
