Lonnie Eugene Jackson

Lonnie Jackson 86, of Benton Kentucky formerly of Morristown passed away Wednesday, January 28th at Harrisburg Medical Center in Harrisburg, Ill. Mr. Jackson was of Church of God faith. He is preceded in death by his parents: Eugene and Olive Marie Lloyd Jackson, 1st wife: Opal Jackson, brothers: Claude, Harold and James Dotson, sisters: Ruby Abshire and Ethel Burley.

Mr. Jackson is survived by his wife: Florence Stacy Jackson, son: Steve (Angel) Jackson of Rockvale, TN, daughters, Mary (Sonny) Matney of Bristol, TN and Diane (Dan) Lester of Morristown, TN. Grandchildren: Brittany, Dustin and Nicholas Jackson and Steven Lee Matney. Great-great grandchild Aubrey Rose. Step-daughters: Sandy, Robin and Leah – who was a special caregiver and partner in crime. Eight step grandchildren, Twenty step great-great grandchildren, one great-great-great grandchild. Life-long friend, Bradley Dotson and special sister-in-law Chris Dotson.

The family of Mr. Jackson will receive friends Monday, February 2nd from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, February 3rd, in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home with the Rev. Dan Lester officiating, with the internment to follow in Hamblen Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
