Mrs. Jewel Lamb Sutton, age 81, of Morristown, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 2, 2013. She was a faithful member of Calvue Baptist Church. As a child, Mrs. Sutton accepted the Lord as her personal Savior on Christmas day at Trent’s Valley Baptist Church. Since that day, Mrs. Sutton strived to let her light shine for the Lord. Through her passion of music, she enjoyed writing and singing religious songs. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Nola Lamb; sisters, Mildred Lamb, Nina Lawson, and Bonnie Trent. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Mr. Olus Sutton; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mae Lamb, Yvonne and Donald Bistro, Ina and James F. Winkler; many nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved. A celebration of Jewel’s life will be held at Calvue Baptist Church on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. Rev. Bob Zavattieri and Rev. Lee Seal will officiate. Family and friends will meet in Hamblen Memory Gardens on Thursday at 12:45 p.m. for a 1:00 p.m. graveside service. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7:00 p.m. prior to the services at the church. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude and appreciation to the medical staffs of Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System and U T Medical Center.
