James Edward Gregg

On March 2nd, 2023 Sergeant (Ret.) James Edward Gregg, 79 of Morristown passed away at home surrounded by family. He retired from International Paper and had a long and enjoyable retirement. James also retired from the Tennessee National Guard in 1993 and he was a 32 degree Mason.

James is survived by his wife of 55 years Nancy Gregg, son Tony “Snook” and daughter in law Becca, sister Medri Simmons, brother and sister-in-law Johnny and Peggy Gregg, grandchildren Chloe and Zoe, grandpup Whiskey along with several nieces and nephews.

James is preceded in death by his parents Fred “Pop” and Eunaive Gregg and sister Betty Lefevers.

A gathering of friends and family will be Thursday, March 9, 2023 from 1:00 PM until 2:30 PM at Stubblefield Funeral Home, with a celebration of life service to follow. Military graveside services afterwards provided by the Tennessee National Guard and the VFW Post #5266 in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
