G.W. Henderson Ward Sr., age 79, of Morristown, born and raised in Rogersville, passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at his residence.
He was of the Christian faith and a member of The Avenue Church.
Preceding him in death are his parents: George and Mary Ward, brothers: Gene Ward, Wayne Ward and sisters: Oakalee Newberry and Joan Peto.
GW leaves behind his wife of 43 years, Debbie Mitchell Ward; sons: Chip (Macie) Ward, Les (Heather) Ward, Daniel Ward, Joe (Gabbie) Ward and Scott Mitchell. 11 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday, Aug. 26, 2023 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Stubblefield Funeral Home. Funeral services to follow at 7:00 PM with Pastor Justin Graham officiating. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM, Sunday, Aug. 27, 2023 in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
