Eric McDowell

He gained a love and passion for acting, the cinema, and music, especially the Beatles, during his high school years. He performed in many theatrical events and winning several awards, which continued during his college years and with the Morristown Theatre Guild. He was a College English Professor, having taught at ETSU, Tusculum and many colleges through the online programs. For his relaxation times, Eric enjoyed the beaches of Florida, which is where he has requested his family to scatter his ashes.

He was preceded in death by his father: Harold McDowell; several aunts and uncles and his great niece: Ella Strode.

Eric is survived by his mother: Wanda McDowell; sister: Teri Strode and brother: Shannon McDowell. His dear friend, Travis Hicks, whom he considered his brother. Niece: Heather (Marc) Calma; nephews: Joshua (Kelly) Strode and Zachary (Stefanie) Strode. Great nieces and nephews: Chance Strode, Alex Savage, Amberlyn Strode, Aurora Calma, Enza Calma, Sage Strode, Lilliana Strode, Zander Strode and Zoey Strode. And his beloved cat whom he dearly cherished, Sierra.
