Debra Elaine Mullins Trent, 54, of Whitesburg, went to be with our Heavenly Father on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at her home. Debra was born in Abingdon VA on April 21, 1958. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Morristown. She attended Morristown-Hamblen High School East. Since 2005, Debra was an employee of DTR Industries of Greeneville, TN. Previously, she worked as an Independent Support Coordinator for the Handicap with the Tennessee Alternative Program (TAP), caring for the elderly and children with special needs. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who committed much of her life to caring for others. She is survived by her husband, Darrell Trent of Whitesburg; parents, Homer “Paul” Sr and Doris Ann Mullins of Whitesburg; children, Johnathan Mullins of Morristown, Jeremy Bryant of Russellville, Lee and Chasity Shiflet of Whitesburg, and Tommy and Kristy Shiflet of Whitesburg; her loving grandchildren, Tristen, Adam and Carlee Bryant, Casandra, Jonathan and Quintan Gregory, Austin and Megan Shiflet; brother, H. Paul (Carolyn) Mullins Jr.; brother-in-law, Lin “NJ” (Sureda Faye) Trent of Newport; sisters-in-law, Eulene Jones of Greensburg, IN and Ella Trent of Knoxville; along with countless other family and friends whom were blessed to know her. Debra touched the lives of many with her generous spirit and loving ways. Each of us could learn from her passion for life and ability to see the good in others. Friends are invited to join her family for a funeral service on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Henegar officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8:00 p.m. prior to the services. Family and friends will meet in Hamblen Memory Gardens on Sunday at 1:50 p.m. for a 2:00 p.m. graveside service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society. Stubblefield Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
