Chester Perry, age 83, of Talbott, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2011 at the Jefferson County Rehabilitation Center in Jefferson City. He was a member of Brewer’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church of Sneedville and worked at Berkline for 37 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henley and Della Perry of Sneedville; and sister, Goldie Collingsworth of Sneedville.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Mildred Perry; son, Michael Perry of Talbott; step-daughter, Brenda and husband Alger Morgan of New Market; grandchildren, Tony (Kristi) Frye of Knoxville, Jamie Morgan of New Market; two great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; brother, Howard Perry of Sneedville; sister, Barbara and husband, Howard Sutton of Morristown; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Bob Zavatteria officiating. Family and friends will meet in Hamblen Memory Gardens on Sunday, April 24 at 1:50 p.m. for a 2:00 p.m. graveside service. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7:00 p.m. on Saturday evening prior to the services.
