Charles Edward Drinnon, age 63, of Bulls Gap, went to be with the Lord after a long fight with cancer, on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. He was a member of Cobbs Chapel Baptist Church. He worked as an electrician, most recently employed by TVA. He was a member of Kyle Lodge #422 F&AM of Whitesburg. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellick and Lola Drinnon; step-daughter, Amy Jarnagin; and sister, Juanita Testerman. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Orrick Drinnon; son, Chad Edward (Dawn) Drinnon of Liberty Township, OH; brothers, J W (Pat) Drinnon, Claude (Lena) Drinnon, both of Morristown, and Floyd Drinnon of Sneedville; sisters, Cecil McCann of Eidson, TN, Sue Henegar of Rogersville, and Betty (Curtis) Bean of Rogersville; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home on Friday, May 23, 2014 at 8:00 p.m. Rev. Ricky Parker will officiate. Masonic services will precede the funeral services and will be conducted by the Kyle Lodge #422 F&AM of Whitesburg. Family and friends will meet in Hamblen Memory Gardens on Saturday at 1:45 p.m. for a 2:00 p.m. graveside service. The family will receive friends Friday evening 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to the American Cancer Society. Stubblefield Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
