In loving memory of Barbara Jean Short, age 77, of Mooresburg, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 3, 2020. She was a member of Slate Hill Primitive Baptist Church. Preceding her in death were her parents, Henry and Clara Hunley; and brother, Larry Hunley.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Jack Short; children, Melinda (Richard) Brooks, Jeff (Jennifer) Short, Henry (Lucinda McMahan) Short, Greg (Patricia) Short, and Ashley (Michael) Engle; 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Geraldene (Carl) Johnson; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 from 6:00-8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Rev Bill Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
