Alice J. Lawson

Alice Jean Lawson "Granny" "Tunnie", age 83, of Morristown, Tennessee passed away on Friday, August 26, 2022 in the loving arms of her family as they sang the hymn "Take My Hand Precious Lord". Alice was born January 9, 1939. Granny had a big heart that got bigger with age, she had an open door for everyone which included love, laughter, and food. Her family was always at the utmost importance to her. She touched the heart of many. She was a faithful member of Little Redeemed Primitive Baptist Church. Long time employee of Lea Industries until her retirement after 30 years. Preceded in death by parents, Vernie and Ulyss Greene, siblings, Guy (Bernice) Greene, Opal (John) Spears, Shirley Hicks, son-in-law Albert Ezell, great great grandchildren Lane Price and Skye Price. She leaves behind her daughters, Freida Lawson, Bobbie (Kenny) Hurst, Sue Lawson, Rita (Jerome) Griffin; grandchildren Sam (Chris(sweetheart)) Mattair, Rusty Lawson, Shaun Lawson, Justin(Amanda) Lawson, Lynn Lawson, Bryan Mackey, Isaiah Griffin; great grandchildren Brittany(Branden) Price, Amber Wright, Alexis(Alan) Beech, Djamila Lawson, Aisha Lawson, Rusty "RJ" Lawson, Jr, Neyland Lawson, Braiden Collazo, Devin Collazo, Reesie Mackey, Raylan Mackey, Kaylee Jo Lawson, Hezekiah (my little angel) Lawson, Ezra Lawson; great great grandchildren Jensen Johnson, Adalynn Beech, Kaiser Johnson, Avery Beech, Dakota Johnson, Theodore Price, Alan Beech(AJ), Madison Sluss, and Kaylee Sluss. Sister Mary(Bill) Mowell. Special niece Renee(Wayne) Owens. Special friends Jessica(Scott) Pedigo (favorite granddaughter), Michelle Cody, JR Cody, Chelsea Cody, Haley Cody, and Isaiah Roach. Along with a whole slew of other family and friends. A special thanks to her nurses Candace and Angie. Visitation will be Tuesday August 30 from 4-7pm at Stubblefield Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at 7pm. Graveside services will be Wednesday August 31 at 11am at Little Redeemed Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chris Mattair, Justin Lawson, Branden Price, Rusty Lawson, RJ Lawson, Neyland Lawson, Shaun Lawson, Lynn Lawson. Honorary Pallbearers Mike Sluss and Ron(Bubble) Housewright.
