Wayne David Duckworth

Duck was born on October 30, 1953 to Geneva Duckworth Reinhardt and the late Wilson Woodrow Duckworth. He was employed by Carpenter Co. in Hilderbran where he was a truck driver, also a member of Hilderbran View Baptist Church where he received the Lord as his personal Savior.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 37 years Rebecca Ann Duckworth; mother, Geneva D. Reinhardt; sons, Johnny Duckworth, Ray Wortman and wife Jessica of Morganton, Jay Wortman and wife Angie of Lenoir; brothers, Harold "Butch" Duckworth, Sr., and wife Helen, Kenny Duckworth and wife Billie Sue of Morganton; sister, Doreen Caudill and husband Randy of Morganton.

Also left to cherish his memory are six grandchildren and one great grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews.

Duck enjoyed farming with his cattle and horses, gardening, coon hunting, camping, and taking tours with his wife Rebecca Ann.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at Hilderbran View Baptist church at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the church. The Reverends Larry Nantz and Derrick Lingerfelt will be officiating.
