She was born to the late Roy Howard Morrison and Irene Shoupe Morrison on July 11, 1954 in Burke County.
Susie was a graduate of Glen Alpine High School class of 1972. She worked and retired from Southern Devices and Colonels Pantry after years of service. Susie was also a life long member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
Susie loved all her family dearly and had the best bubbly personality that never met a stranger. Susie had a great love for flamingo’s, snowmen, and all children in general, especially her only grandson Caleb.
In addition to her parents, Susie was preceded in death by her brother-in-law Gearld Head, and great-nephew Theorn Jason Poteet.
Those left to cherish her memories include her son; Steve Waters (Jennifer), daughter; Melissa Herrick (Nathan), grandson; Caleb Waters, sister; Janice Head, brother; Gary Morrison (Cathy), nieces; Cheryl Greathouse, Tammy Head, Lisa Greene and Laura Powell, nephew; Darren Head, numerous great nieces, great nephews, along with great great nephews and nieces, also surviving is the father of her children Mickey Waters, three grand fur babies, Patches, Moonpie, and Mocha.
Funeral Service for Susan “Susie” Elaine Waters will be held 2 p.m. Monday, December 26, 2022 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church of Morganton. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the start of service at the church. Burial will follow on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at the church cemetery. Rev. Michael Gantt Officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in loving memory of Susan Waters to Mount Olive Baptist Church.
