Sophia Jean Pearson

In addition to her parents, Sophie is preceded in death by five brothers, Millard Ervin, William “Billy” Ervin Jr., James Herman Ervin Sr., John Ervin, and Carl Ervin; two sisters, Katherine Davis and Annie Sue Max; and a grandson, Will Millard Pearson.

Sophie was a lifelong member of Mission AME Church, and was retired from Monroe Systems for Business after 28 years of employment.

Sophie is survived by four daughters, Deborah J. Morgan, Ramona S. Westbrooks, Sophia S. Pearson, and Margaret L. Pearson-McCue; three sons, Steven L. Pearson, James D. Pearson, Leonardo S. Pearson; four sisters, Sadie Mae Max, Margaret Pearson, Connie Caldwell, and Jeanette Norwood; and a brother, Harry Ervin; seven grandchildren, Sharonda Pearson, Janelle Pearson, Angelica Walsh, Lawrence Pearson, Jared Hill Pearson, Jordan Hill Pearson, Melakea Michaux; five great– grandchildren, Jasmine Davenport, Sierra Davenport, Jayla Johnson, Jewelz Pearson and Emerson Walsh; a host of nieces and nephews; and two loving pets, Bronx and Tootoo.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, January 7, 2019 at Mission AME Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
