Robert Wayne Lee

After graduating from Marion High School, Wayne began his working career at Broyhill Furniture in Marion. He spent most of his working career (20 years) at Bernhardt Furniture in Lenoir. Later he worked 10 years at Baldor in Marion.

In his free time, he was a avid golfer and bowler. When he retired, his favorite thing was spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren.

He was a faithful member of Marion Church of Christ for 35 years. There he taught the adult bible classes for 10 years. He served willingly in whatever he was asked to do.

He survived by his wife of 35 years, Jerald Romine Lee; five children, Cathy Arrington (Robert), Teresa Causby (Roy), Sandi Isenhower (Mark), Eric Lee and Paul Lee (Angie). His nine grandchildren are Amanda Morgan, Tyler Causby, Ryleigh Causby, Emily Causby, Anthony Ross, Stephanie Isenhower, Mark Isenhower, Erica Lee, Jonathan Lee. There are 16 great grandchildren. He is also survived by 1 brother, Johnny Lee, and 2 sisters, Shirley Laughter and Nancy Lail.

A funeral service will be held at Marion Church of Christ on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Paul Balach officiating. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service, from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm. Burial will follow the service at Ridgeway Baptist Church Cemetery in Marion.
