Miss Norma Jean Kincaid

Norma “Jean” Kincaid, 71, of Morganton, went to be with the Lord, Monday, November 15, 2010 while at the Walker Family Care Home. Born August 11, 1939, in Burke County, she was a daughter of the late Norman Walker Kincaid and Ethel Morrow Kincaid. Miss Kincaid was a member of the First Advent Church, Morganton, where for many years she composed the Church Bulletins. Miss Kincaid was a gifted quilter, and enjoyed needlepoint. She loved animals and supported the NC Zoological Society. She was an avid reader, but most of all, she loved her Lord.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory a sister, Barbara Lynn Kincaid Johnson, of Morganton;

three aunts and two uncles;

and a host of nieces and nephews will also cherish her memory.

Funeral Services for Miss Kincaid will be held 1:00 PM, Thursday, November 18, 2010, in the Chapel of Kirksey Funeral Home, Morganton. Interment will follow at the Burke Memorial Park, Morganton. The family will receive friends 11 AM-1:00 PM, Thursday, November 18, 2010, at Kirksey Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Palliative Care Center & Hospice of Catawba Valley, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, NC 28658-9715.

The family would like to offer their sincere and heartfelt thanks to Brandon Rios and the staff of the Walker Family Care Home, Morganton and to the Staff of the Palliative Care Center & Hospice of Catawba Valley for the special and personalized care they provided Miss Kincaid.
