James Hampton Davis Jr.

Mr. James Hampton Davis, Jr., 68, of Morganton left his earthly home Thursday, March 05, 2020. Mr. Davis was born in Pensacola Florida, on February 15, 1952 to the late James Davis, Sr., and Vernie Cox Davis.

James retired from Morganton Housing Authority after 36 years of service.

In addition to his parents James was preceded in death by a sister; Harriet Johnson, brother; Emmanuel Davis, and brother-in-law Edward Fredrick.

James affectionally know as "Dunnie" by his family leaves to cherish his memories wife; Teresa K. Davis daughter; Brandy Nicole Davis, sons; Xavier Cannon, and Bradley Kanipe, sister; Juila Ervin (Harry), and brothers; Paul Davis, and Randall Lee Davis (Wanda), aunt; Earlene Cox, sister-in-laws; Gayle Robinson, Louvenia Kanipe, Linda Kanipe, and Gwendolyn Sommerville, and brother-in-law; Earl Kanipe, and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

Memorial Service for Mr. James Hampton Davis, Jr., will be held Monday, March 09, 2020 at 12:30pm in the chapel of Kirksey Funeral Home, Morganton.
