She was born in Wilkes County to the late John Robert Brewer and Pearl Porter Brewer.
She was a member at Mulls Grove Baptist Church. When she wasn’t at church she was planting flowers and gardening.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Dowl Carswell, brothers; Silas Brewer , Billy Brewer, sisters; Ruth Gragg, Lucille Ellison and son-in-law; William Stanley Holcombe.
Those left to cherish are her children; Kenneth D. Carswell Jr., Marlene Holcombe, brothers; Ray Brewer, David Brewer, Jerry Brewer, Vern Brewer, grandchildren; Brandon Holcombe, Will Carswell and Callie Carswell.
A Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, May 17, 2020 at Mulls Grove Baptist Church at 2:00 pm.
