Carla Jean Smith, age 54, of Morganton, passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2023. Carla was born on September 21, 1968 in Burke County.
Those left behind to cherish Carla's memory include her mother, Doris Snow; two children, Keith Alan Powell and Christopher Edwards; two granddaughters, Lily and Isabella Powell; and a sister, Sheila Hefner. Also surviving are numerous other relatives and friends.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
