Carl Edward Pearson

Born January 31, 1943 in Burke County, Buddy was the son of the late Ernest Tate and Vissie Pearson. Buddy worked for many years at the Drexel Shop and Dye Plant.

Along with his parents, Buddy is preceded in death by a brother, Glenn Ray Pearson; a sister, Brenda Pearson; a niece, Rita Farnham; and his brother-in-law, Rodger Farnham.

Those left behind to cherish his memory include a sister, Doris Farnham; three brothers, Otis Pearson and his wife, Jean and Grover Pearson and his wife, Sandra, and Ernest Pearson and his wife, Doris; also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

Buddy’s pallbearers will be Marshall Farnham, Frank Moody, Jr., Josh Pearson, Michael Pearson, Donovan Reep and Daniel Moody.

A special thanks to McAlpine Adult Care for the care they gave Buddy.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 in the Chapel of Kirksey Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy Upton officiating. Interment will follow at Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

The family will receive friends at other times at Doris Farnham’s home, 4508 Homestead Drive, Morganton.

Kirksey Funeral Home of Morganton has the honor of serving the family.
