Betty Christine May

Betty was a nurse before her retirement and loved taking care of others, especially her family. Her favorite time of year was Christmas and she loved giving more than receiving. Her smiles were always bigger than those she gifted. She attended Glen Alpine Baptist Church before her health prevented it.

Betty was preceded in death by her mother and father, James and Marie Owens and Archie and Mildred Gragg; a son, Billy Ray Bowman Jr.; a daughter, Robin Bowman; and a brother, Mike Owens.

Those left to cherish Betty's memory a daughter Roxie Jarrett (Larry); three sons, Randy Bowman, Richie Bowman (Donna), Chris May; her Grandchildren: Kristen Williams (Noah), Lucas Jarrett, Richard Bowman (Courtney), Samantha Bowman, Tommy Bowman (Amanda), Billy Joe Bowman, Casey Riddle, Brittany Dyson (Michael), Clay Bowman, Cory Bowman, Brittany May, Taylor May. Brother Larry Owens. Sister Judy Gragg; her Great-grandchildren: Jacey Patton, Aiden Bowman, Kayden Bowman, Sierra Bowman, Nick Bowman, Jessica Deal, Julian Bowman, Hadley Bowman, Archer Bowman, Jedediah Bowman, Khloe Holtsclaw, Kamron Holtsclaw, Wrenley Dyson; and her extended family, Jessica Feimster (Ashley), Preston Feimster, Kashton Feimster, Kayley Walker, Talen Walker. Also, special staff at Lifecare Center of Banner Elk.
