Those we hold closest to our hearts never truly leave us. They live on in the kindness they have shared and the love they brought into our lives. ~ Author Unknown
Gerald “Jerry” Teaderman passed away at his home on Sunday, November 3, 2013. He is survived by his son Steve Beatty. Jerry achieved many great things in his life; one of which was serving his country in the Korean War. As a 1957 UC Berkley graduate, Jerry started his career working in the banking business and later was involved in several restaurant ventures. He also sponsored several professional bowlers in the 1960’s and one specific Hall of Fame professional bowler credited Jerry for his success. In the late 1960’s Jerry began accumulating investment properties in the south county and in 1983, Jerry moved to Morgan Hill.
Jerry was an avid SF Giants and Forty-Niners fan. It has been rumored that when the Giants finally clinched the World Series; Jerry had tears of joy rolling down his face. He was happy because his boys had finally done it! Of equal importance was Jerry’s love of pets as evidenced by his frequent and generous donations to the Humane Society as well as our local animal shelters. Jerry always had a pet in his life and any pet that belonged to Jerry was a lucky pet indeed!
Jerry was undoubtedly a great man and his kindness and generosity will never be forgotten. Understandably, his loss will leave a huge void in the community of Morgan Hill. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be sent to either the Humane Society or one of our two local animal shelters: Town Cats of Morgan Hill or Friends of San Martin Animal Shelter (FOSMAS).
