Frank J. Freitas Jr.

Frank Freitas, age 74, passed away on December 29, 2014. He was born April 10, 1940 in San Martin to Frank and Bella Freitas. He lived most of his life in Morgan Hill and attended Live Oak High School.

He is survived by his longtime partner, Gwen Marr of Morgan Hill; daughters Tracy Freitas and Tiffany Freitas-Scatena of Hollister; grandsons Connor Scatena and Drew Scatena of Hollister and sisters Dorothy Santos of Carson City, Nevada and Gerry Cordeiro of San Jose.

As a young man, Frank served in the National Guard. He retired from San Jose Unified School District after more than 40 years of service. He later was employed by Penske in Gilroy, at a job he greatly enjoyed.

Frank was also a member of the "Gilroy Model T Ford Club". He very much enjoyed tinkering with his Model T Roadster and his Model A Ford Pickup.

He was much loved and will be greatly missed.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, January 9, 2014 starting a 5:00pm, with a Vigil Service at 7:00pm, both at Johnson Funeral Home, 17720 Monterey Street, Morgan Hill. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2014 at 11:00am at St. Catherine Catholic Church, 17400 Peak Avenue, Morgan Hill, CA. The family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association.
