Peggy is survived by her children; Donna Veazey and husband Jimmy and Albert Verret III and wife Terrie; brothers, Allen "Peewee" McNemar, Jr. and wife Myrtle; Phillip McNemar, Sr. and wife Lucy; Jessie McNemar, Sr. and wife Barbara; Glenn J. McNemar, Sr. and wife Rosemarie; sister, Brenda Guillory; grandchildren, Jennifer and husband BJ Lasseigne; James A. Veazey and Kaitlyn Ellender and husband Bobby; great-grandchildren, Ian and Quinn Lasseigne and Aubrielle Ellender; and a host of nieces, nephews, great- nieces and great- nephews as well as extended family, friends and John and Tessie Dubois, who she also looked at as her children

Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Verret, Jr.; parents, Allen and Theresa McNemar; brothers, Michael McNemar; sisters, Marlene Ward and Jody McNemar; brother-in-law, Robert Guillory; companion, Jerry Dubois; mother and father- in-law, Albert and Leona Verret; brothers -in-law, Donald Verret and Pat Verret.

Special thanks to "The Medical Team", including Kerri Domangue-Brown and Jenny Resignola; her caregivers and dear friends, Paul Vella and Pat Fryer. The family would also like to thank Dr. Cefalu and Dr. Valdez for all they did.

Peggy was on the Board of Directors for AARP where she was also Mardi Gras Queen 2016 for AARP. Peggy enjoyed playing Bingo and dancing.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024 at Hargrave Funeral Home from 12pm - 2pm. Funeral services will be held at 2pm at Hargrave Funeral Home. Burial will follow in St. Andrew Cemetery.
