March 11, 1964 – September 6, 2014

Newby Paul Broussard Jr., 50, a native of Patterson and a resident of Morgan City, lost his three year battle with cancer on September 6, 2014 at the Morgan City Health Care Nursing Home.

NewNew was a huge fan of sports, indoors and outdoors and loved his family dearly.

NewNew is survived by his fiancée of 21 years, Melissa Theriot of Morgan City; three daughters, Nicole Marie Broussard and her fiancée, Louis Darby, of Kaplan, Elisha Marie Broussard and her fiancée, Toby “T.J.” Romero Jr., of Broussard, and Victoria Mache Broussard of Morgan City; one stepson, Brad Jordan Theriot of Morgan City; his mothers, Joy Rita Leger Broussard of Patterson; one brother, Troy Broussard and his wife, Tammy Pesson Broussard of Bayou Vista; two sisters, Ena Broussard of Berwick, and Monica Broussard Ledet and her husband, Randy Ledet of Patterson; four grandchildren, Rudy Christopher Bondick, Makayla Joy Broussard Ritter, Levi Greyson Romero, Liam Bentley Romero, and one on the way. He is also survived by numerous nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Newby Paul Broussard Sr.; two uncles, Ray Joseph Broussard of New Iberia, and George Leger of New Iberia; and his grandparents.

Memorial Services will be take place Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 11am with memorial visitation following until 1pm at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to alleviate his funeral and medical expenses.
