Kevin was a loving husband, son and brother and adored spending time with his loved ones. A constantly joyful person, Kevin was always smiling and was always caring and giving to others and to animals. He found the heavens and night sky very interesting and would often be found studying the stars with his telescope or reading about astronomy. Kevin also enjoyed traveling and found particular interest in his Scottish and Celtic heritage. He had a poet's soul and a deep appreciation for nature and being outdoors.
Kevin worked to provide for his family as a Merchant Marine Sea Man and later as a City Worker for the City of Morgan City. He was always a dedicated and cheerful employee. In his earlier years, Kevin aided others in their religious beliefs as a Priest at Holy Trinity American Orthodox Catholic Church.
Those left to cherish Kevin's beautiful memory are his wife of 21 years, Angel Arvello; his mother, Ann Marie Hunter; his sister, Elizabeth Hunter-Turner; his niece, Isla Turner; and his beloved pets, Lilith "Lily" and Keira.
He was reunited in heaven with his father, John Douglas Hunter and his grandparents.
A Memorial Mass for Kevin will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at 11am at Trinity Episcopal Church in Morgan City, followed by a celebration of his life from 12noon to 2pm at the Trinity Episcopal Fleury Hall & Community Center. Graveside services will be held privately by the family.
