Kathleen G. Vice was born on March 13, 1933 to V.J. and Virgie Guillot in Berwick, Louisiana. She joined her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at Heaven’s gate on Thursday, May 21, 2020 to begin life eternal.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Ed Vice; two children, Danny and Jimmy; her sister, Joy and brother, Harlan.
She is survived by her daughter, Shelley Baldwin (David Baldwin) of Gonzales, LA; son, Samuel White (Carolyn) of Erath, LA; her extended family, Judy Von Muller, Randy Vice, Rhonda Shannon, Deborah Darby and their spouses; and her brothers, Reggie and Kenny Guilot of Bayou Vista. She also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews who love her dearly.
Kat’s love for everyone was evident in all she did. Above all, her love for Jesus Christ was her focus. She spent many hours each day studying her Bible and spreading the love of Jesus. One of her favorite past-times was crocheting bookmark crosses. She would hand them to everyone she met while passing along the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Everyone who knew her, knew she was a devoted Christian prayer warrior and exemplified JOY, Jesus in Others, and You wherever she went.
Kat leaves this world with the blessed assurance that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. She leave us with these words: I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race and I have remained faithful. And now the prize awaits me- the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the Righteous Judge will award me on the day of His return. And the prize is not just for me, but for all who eagerly look forward to his appearing – II Timothy 4: 7-8
