A funeral service will occur Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 12:00 PM, 108 Ryan St, Franklin, LA 70392. A burial will occur Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Berwick Cemetery, Berwick City, LA.
Joseph Bias, 66, a resident of Bayou Vista, LA passed away peacefully on Monday, January 1, 2024 at The Crossing at Clarity Hospice in Baton Rouge, LA.
He is survived by his two sons, Timothy (Delissa) Tyrone Merritt and Darrell (Brandi) Merritt; two stepchildren, Paulette Merritt and Timmie Lee Merritt; two sisters, Elizabeth Griffin and Kim Byers; and one brother, Timothy Byers, five grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Byers, Sr. and Mary Viola Griffin and a brother, Clarence Byers, Jr.
