Nor by the number of its notes
Judge it by the way it touches and lifts the soul
Sometimes those unfinished are among the most beautiful…
And when something has enriched your life
And when its melody lingers on in your heart.
Is it unfinished?
Or is it endless?
It is with great sadness and numb hearts that the family of Allyson Duval, best known as Ally, announces the news of Ally's unexpected loss on Saturday, September 3, 2016. Born on May 22, 2003 to the late Robert Drew Duval and Kimberly Perez Duval, Ally was 13 years old, 3 months and 12 days old when her journey among us ended. Though her absence is already felt, her melody still lingers....her memory endless.
Ally attended Morgan City Junior High School as an 8th grader. She enjoyed activities such as band and dance, where she played the French horn & trombone and was a vital member of Dance World. A fashion and makeup fanatic, Ally was always dressed up from top to bottom. Those who knew her best, knew her favorite colors were mint green and pink (#pinkforally). Vibrant and unique, Ally touched many hearts with her humor and laughter.
Alongside her mother, Kimberly Duval and her soon-to-be stepfather, Adam Charles, Ally leaves to cherish her short but beautiful memory, her younger twin sister (by 1 minute), Lindsey Duval and her older (maybe wiser) sister, Emily Duval; her two definitely wiser older brothers, Drew Duval and his beloved girlfriend, Raeanna Hidalgo, and Corey Duval; her maternal grandmother, Ruth M. Perez; her paternal grandmother, Jeanette Duval; two aunts, Kelly Cavalier
and Renee' Daigle; one uncle, Carl Perez Jr.; numerous cousins and many true and good friends.
Ally joined in heaven, her father, Robert Drew Duval; her maternal grandfather, Carol Perez; her paternal grandfather, Eli Duval; and her beloved family friend and 'brother', Antonio Collins.
The family requests that visitation be observed on Wednesday, September 7th from 6pm to 9pm and again on Thursday September 8th from 9am until time of dismissal at Hargrave Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial for Ally will take place at 12 noon at Holy Cross Catholic Church on Thursday, September 8th with Ally being laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery. The family requests that those attending the visitation come prepared to share any digital photo/video/or memory you may have of Ally.
Arrangements under the direction of Hargrave Funeral Home, Morgan City, LA.
