The 5th child of Reyes and Tranquilina Garcia, she was a longtime resident of Claypool. Married at 24 to Tomas Ybarra, she had 2 children, Sally and Frank, 5 grandchildren, Thomas, Frank, Dean, Valerie, and Stephanie, 8 great-grandchildren, Corina, Fernando, April, Michael, Jarrett, Steven, Matthew and Megan, and 7 great-great-grandchildren, Dante, Joaquin, Xiomara, Diego, Lorenzo, Sofia, and Ava.
Widowed in the 1960s, she moved to Los Angeles where she cared for her grandchildren. She was a devoted Dodgers fan and a skilled crafter. Known as “MacGyver”, she was talented in fixing anything with a string or a wire.
Living in Riverside California with her daughter and son-in-law for the past 30 years, she continued to care for her family, even in her final years.
She leaves behind a profound emptiness in our hearts but also a treasure trove of memories that will forever remind us of her enduring spirit.
