Gloria Estela Hernandez

Gloria (Dolly) Estela Hernandez, June 30, 1943 - August 9, 2022, Age 79, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 9 in Moreno Valley, California. She was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado, to Carlos Rodriguez, Sr. and Leonor Rodriguez, where her father was stationed. She spent her childhood in her parents’ hometown of El Paso, Texas.

After WWII, the family moved to Santa Fe Springs. While a Junior, she was introduced to Albert Hernandez through a letter, serving in the Air Force in France. After corresponding through letters, they met in person and married. Albert and Gloria started a family with daughters Cynthia and Deanna. Gloria worked as a beauty technician in the early 1960s and 70s. In the 1980s, she dedicated her time working at Melodyland Christian Center in Anaheim, where she was the President of the Latin Women’s Ministries and provided love and spiritual support to many.

She leaves behind her husband of 58 years, Albert Hernandez; her daughters Cynthia and Deanna; and her mother, Leonor Rodriguez.

A viewing will be held from 4-8 pm on Monday, September 19, at Miller-Jones Mortuary in Moreno Valley. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, September 20, at Moreno Christian Assembly in Moreno Valley, with burial at Riverside National Cemetery.
