Christopher Allen Marquise Smith, a beloved son, brother, father, and friend, passed away on June 5, 2024, at the age of 38. He was born on October 25, 1985, in Norwalk, CA, and most recently resided in Moreno Valley, CA. Chris was survived by his wife, Cuquina Smith, and his three daughters: Kayla Victoria, Kimberly Juliana, and Legacy Rose. His mother, Jaqueline, and siblings: Yolanda, Kaila, Nate, and Ricardo.
In 2005, Chris began a loving relationship with Cuquina, which blossomed from a DM on MySpace. They shared many cherished moments and built a bond that would last throughout their lives.
To Chris, nothing brought him more happiness and fulfillment than being a girl dad. He treasured every moment spent with his three daughters. His love and devotion as a father served as a pillar in his life.
He held a special place in the hearts of the Rios-Garcia family, always making sure to attend their events and celebrate their achievements. His presence was a ray of sunshine at every family gathering, and his infectious laugh brought joy to everyone around him.
Chris had a passion for making music, pouring his heart and soul into every beat and melody. He found joy in creating and sharing his musical talents with the world. His love for Texas, Brazil, accompanied by his favorite TV show, "The Walking Dead," made for memorable nights filled with good food and captivating storylines.
When it came to sports, Chris was a loyal fan of the Los Angeles Lakers, the New York Giants, and the New York Yankees. He would cheer passionately for his favorite teams, as one of his last outings with his family was a Yankees game.
On June 25, 2020, Chris was diagnosed with Kidney Failure and was treated via dialysis for nearly four years. Chris held firm to his Christian faith, finding peace and guidance in his spiritual beliefs. His solid belief brought him comfort and strength throughout his life.
Chris will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of crossing paths with him. His love, talent, and kind-hearted nature will forever remain in the hearts of his loved ones. May his soul find eternal peace.
A visitation for Christopher will be held Monday, July 1, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Miller-Jones Mortuary and Crematory, 23618 Sunnymead Blvd, Moreno Valley, CA 92553.
